The Dome of Pestilence

Started my Sunday morning this week looking for an apartment. Like so many others, my home has lost so much value that there is little to no equity left in it. Why stay? Why have anything permanent here? The apartment sucked too. I think it was the fact that half of the building had recently burned that made me feel that way. Aside from the whole fire thing it was kinda nice though, almost quaint.

Quaint phoenix from the ashes of what once was. God knows it is getting hard to retain any sort of affinity for this place as it continues to crumble...We will move on, there has to be an end somewhere, everyone wakes from troubled sleep eventually...less the night terrors stop their heart.

I wish we could find a way to gently wake our once glorious city from the troubled sleep it has fallen into. If one sleeps too long, do the night terrors just become normal? Just a routine part of the day?

Thanks for stopping by Mark. Your words always inspire thought.

Mike...What would it take to wake the city up and not just wake it up but to throw off the sleep eye slugs of indifference?

To me the base answer is reintegrate the city and suburbs and stop this foolishness of divisiveness by skin color. That would be the highest hurdle to cross over.
